Polyester POY Yarns (Polyester Partially Oriented Yarns)

PPOY – Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn, generally referred as Polyester POY. Polyester POY is the basic form of Polyester Yarn. It is the yarn of stage which comes before fully oriented yarns and hence, it is known as Pre-Oriented Yarns as well. When Polyester PET Chips are spinned or a yarn is made through PTA and MEG, the first yarn is made POY and that is why it is called basic yarn.  Primary use of POY is in texturizing to make textured yarn or Polyester Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY). POY can also be used in draw warping for weaving and warp knitting of fabrics.
